Cognizant Technology Services - Investment Banking Analyst - Sell Side Advisory

Cognizant provides high-quality offshore analyst support to leading Investment Banking (IB) clients worldwide. We are expanding our team of investment banking analysts to meet growing client demand for strategic research, financial analysis, and deal support.

Location: Hyderabad (work from office)

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct research and develop buyer lists and profiles for sell-side mandates.

- Prepare "Get Smarts" decks in PowerPoint for new client meetings, including target company summaries, executive profiles, industry insights, and current news.

- Draft specific sections of Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), such as industry overviews, competitive landscapes, and company profiles.

- Assist in the creation of industry newsletters by researching and drafting relevant content.

- Perform financial spreading by transcribing data from financial statements into Excel templates for comparative analysis and trend identification.

- Input and maintain buyer notes in Salesforce CRM tool.

- Create basic valuation models in Excel.

- Collaborate with onshore teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work products.

Desired qualifications:

- MBA/Post-graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or CA, CFA (US) or any other comparable degree.

- 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, financial analysis, or consulting.

- Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce is a plus.

- Strong attention to detail, clear and concise writing skills, and ability to work quickly and accurately under tight timelines.

- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent command on written English.

- Hands-on experience with market databases are preferred.
