Head - Channel Engagement & Pricing


Description: Hiring for the role of Channel Engagement & Pricing Head to act as the custodian of commercial hygiene and pricing excellence in a large-scale paints business. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, pricing optimization, distributor profitability, and compliant channel engagement, while partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and other stakeholders.


Function: Sales - Commercial & Pricing

Business: Decorative Paints

Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and drive pricing strategy, net price realization, and budget delivery in line with P&L goals.

- Ensure commercial hygiene through effective credit management, discount/rebate governance, and timely settlements.

- Design and deploy channel engagement programs, including retailer incentives and loyalty initiatives.

- Lead pricing intelligence, trackers, and market insights to support informed commercial decisions.

- Drive process standardization, digitization, and G-to-N automation across regions.

- Partner with Regional Sales teams to ensure effective execution of pricing and promotion strategies.

- Oversee customer promotion settlements, audits, and compliance with defined approval frameworks.

- Manage POST / CSS machine deployment, capex planning, productivity, and uptime.

- Build and upskill regional commercial teams, strengthening capability and governance.

Candidate profile:

- 8 to 14 years of experience in Paints / FMCG / Building Materials / Beverages / Lubes / Telecom

- Strong expertise in pricing, trade commercials, discounts, rebates, and P&L management or very strong multi-geography Channel Sales experience (managing Distributors and Retailers)

- Experience working with large channel networks and cross-functional stakeholders

- Strong analytical ability to convert commercial data into actionable insights

- Confident communicator with the ability to challenge, influence, and partner with senior stakeholders

- Hands-on leader with high ownership, resilience, and execution mindset

- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and project management skills
