Cofounder - Steel Tech Startup

Role Overview

We are looking for a young and dynamic professional with complementary skills to join as a Cofounder Designate. The ideal candidate will have a background in steel trading / B2B procurement / supply chain startups, bringing in technology, operations, and scaling expertise.

You will work closely with the promoter to conceptualize, build, and scale the startup from the ground up. Within 12 months, based on performance, you will be considered for the Cofounder role with significant equity participation.

Key Responsibilities

Business Building: Shape strategy, operations, and execution for a steel-tech trading platform.

Market Expansion: Drive growth in South India, followed by pan-India expansion.

Tech Enablement: Co-create digital solutions for procurement, credit, and logistics.

Partnerships: Onboard steel manufacturers, traders, distributors, and buyers.

Credit & Finance: Innovate around credit/financing models with fintech collaborations.

Team Building: Recruit and lead a high-performance team.

Profitability & Scale: Identify cost arbitrage opportunities and optimize supply chains.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Background: Steel trading, B2B procurement, or supply chain; experience in Moglix, OfBusiness, Metalbook, RawMart, ProcureYard, SteelBazar, or similar startups preferred.

Experience: 5-15 years in steel trading or B2B supply chain businesses.

Skills: Strong grasp of steel trading dynamics, credit ecosystems, digital commerce, and operations.

Mindset: Entrepreneurial, growth-focused, and ownership-driven.

Location Preference: Based in South India (Karnataka/AP/TS/TN) or open to relocate.
