JOB DESCRIPTION : Objective: Planning, analysis and program management in support of Raw and Packaging Materials across the HCCB territories Title: National Manager - Material Planning Function: Capacity and Supply Chain Planning Work Location: Bangalore Corporate Job Responsibilities: Procurement Planning and Material Availability: - Lead planning, analysis and program management in support of Raw and Packaging Materials across the country, as per defined and agreed strategy with efficient networks as well as service KPIs. - Liaison with SC, Corporate and BSS Functions to understand expectations and plan delivery on the field. - Challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership by bringing new perspectives/ processes to improve service, optimise cost and best quality delivery. Future ready capabilities: - Closely tracking Internal and external developments on Commercial & Supply Chain Strategieses, Procurement Dynamics and Adapting them to Material Planning needs. - Closely work on driving digital journey along with Procurement, BSS, IT and innovation team and leveraging them to best use. Risk Management: - Closely work with Supply Chain, Procurement, BSS and other Corporate functions to understand potential new factories, new transport lanes and proactively work on identifying potential risks if any on procurement capacity. - Creating solutions like Vendor Managed Inventory, Safety stock optimization. Understand hedging decisions, monitor and control & eliminate obsolescence. Infrastructure Planning: - Partner in right planning of required infrastructure including warehouse space and transport models designing of warehouse to ensure best utilisation of space and meeting service levels. - Working with procurement to identify shared solutions for seasonal requirements to balance cost and service People development: - Identify training needs for Inventory Management and concepts, Warehousing Practices and MRP compliance. Develop a training calendars and oversee training and track effectiveness of training imparted. Functional Skills: - Good knowledge on Analytical Skills. - Understanding of Procurement function and dynamics. - Inventory Management concepts, knowledge on transportation trends, models. Warehousing practices, Infrastructure Planning. - Understanding of S&OP. - Vendor evaluations and management.
