Role Overview:
As a Co-Lending Partner, you will be instrumental in driving the growth of our co-lending portfolio by identifying, evaluating, and managing partnerships with Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) and other financial institutions. You will work closely with internal teams including Credit Risk, Legal, and Operations, as well as external partners, to structure and execute co-lending agreements that align with the company's strategic objectives. Your work will directly contribute to expanding access to credit for underserved segments and enhancing the company's market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and onboard potential co-lending partners by conducting thorough market research and due diligence, ensuring alignment with the company's risk appetite and strategic goals.
- Structure and negotiate co-lending agreements with partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with regulatory requirements, to facilitate seamless collaboration and portfolio growth.
- Manage the performance of co-lending partnerships by monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), conducting regular reviews, and addressing any issues or concerns, to optimize portfolio performance and minimize risk.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Credit Risk, Legal, and Operations, to ensure smooth execution of co-lending transactions and compliance with internal policies and procedures, to maintain operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with co-lending partners by acting as a primary point of contact, providing ongoing support, and fostering open communication, to build trust and ensure long-term collaboration.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to assess credit risk and structure lending transactions, ensuring alignment with risk management policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, fostering trust and collaboration to achieve mutual goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, enabling effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- A Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification is preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in banking, commercial banking, or credit risk management, with a focus on lending and partnerships.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and business needs.
