Job Title : Co-Lead Equity Research Analyst Insurance

Location : Mumbai

Role Overview :

We are looking to hire a seasoned Co-Lead Equity Research Analyst to drive coverage of the Insurance sector. The role involves co-owning sector strategy, delivering differentiated insights, and actively engaging with institutional clients. You will be expected to build a strong external voice on the sector, influence investor views, and consistently generate high-conviction investment ideas.

Key Responsibilities :

- Co-lead end-to-end coverage of the Insurance sector (Life & General), including financial modelling, valuations, and stock recommendations

- Publish high-quality research including initiations, earnings updates, and thematic reports with clear, differentiated viewpoints

- Generate high-conviction investment ideas backed by rigorous fundamental research and channel checks

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients (domestic & global), actively servicing their requirements and driving engagement

-Participate in client meetings, roadshows, investor conferences, and non-deal roadshows (NDRs) alongside sales teams

- Build a credible external voice in the sector; contribute to shaping investor perception and "owning the narrative" on key sector themes

- Track regulatory developments, competitive dynamics, and macro trends impacting the Insurance space

- Engage regularly with company management, industry experts, and distribution partners to generate proprietary insights

- Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring high-quality output and team development

Key Requirements :

- 8-10 years of relevant experience in equity research (sell-side preferred; buy-side experience also relevant)

- Strong experience covering Insurance / BFSI, with demonstrated depth in the sector

- Proven track record of servicing institutional clients and handling investor interactions independently

- Ability to build sector conviction and gain "votes" from clients through differentiated insights and stock calls

- Advanced financial modelling and valuation expertise; strong understanding of Embedded Value (EV) and VNB metrics

- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry structure within Insurance

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to institutional investors

- CFA / MBA (Finance) preferred
