- The Plant EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and policies within the plant to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
- This role involves managing risk assessments, regulatory compliance, employee safety training, and environmental protection initiatives, ensuring the plant's operations are carried out in adherence with applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop, implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Programs, Procedures and awareness at all levels within the organization.
- To assist the Organization in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of employees and visitors;
- To establish budget proposals for the operation of the Occupational Health and Safety office and specific training programs;
- To investigate and report on all serious/critical personal injury accidents occurring to Associates/ staff and/or visitors to the appropriate senior official, and to assist in the investigation of all accidents / incidents that result in substantial damage to Board vehicles and property;
- To investigate and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the Director Manufacturing and/or other appropriate senior staff;
- To respond to employees' safety concerns & to conduct, as necessary, the safety inspection of any office facility from time to time
- To assist the company's Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees;
Experience Required:
- 15+ years of experience in EHS management or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Full time Safety Officer Course from CLI, Mumbai or Other recognize Govt. recognize institute
