
Job Description:
1) Job Purpose:
To lead centralized CMAS governance, performance analytics, and SCADA reliability for Solar, Wind, and Hybrid renewable energy assets by driving data-driven monitoring, digital performance optimization, system reliability, and actionable portfolio insights to maximize generation and operational efficiency.
2) Job Context & Major Challenges:
Operating within the Central O&M & Asset Management function, the role acts as a bridge between operational systems (SCADA) and portfolio performance analytics (CMAS) across multi-location renewable assets and multiple OEM platforms.
Key challenges include ensuring data consistency and reliability across large-scale renewable assets, managing communication and integration complexities across multi-OEM systems, driving actionable analytics for performance optimization, minimizing SCADA downtime and data gaps, and balancing system scalability, stability, and rapid issue resolution in a growing renewable portfolio.
3) Principal Accountabilities & Supporting Actions:
- CMAS Governance & Performance Monitoring: Lead CMAS governance, KPI frameworks, performance analytics, PR/availability/loss tracking methodologies across Solar & Wind assets
- Portfolio Performance Optimization: Identify generation loss drivers, performance gaps, and optimization opportunities through advanced analytics and root cause analysis
- CMAS Architecture & Data Integrity: Manage CMAS configurations, KPI hierarchy, alarm philosophy, tag structures, and ensure data accuracy and synchronization
- Digital Analytics & Reporting: Develop dashboards, automated reporting systems, and executive-level portfolio performance insights
- SCADA Reliability & Integration: Ensure SCADA uptime, communication reliability, and seamless integration with CMAS platforms
- Communication Protocol Management: Support resolution of issues related to OPC, Modbus, APIs, FTP, telemetry, and communication infrastructure
- Alarm Management & Remote Diagnostics: Standardize alarm prioritization, escalation frameworks, and enable proactive fault diagnostics for O&M teams
- Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with O&M, OEMs, IT, cybersecurity, performance teams, and vendors for system reliability and issue resolution
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with RLDC/SLDC, telemetry, DSM, cyber-security, and regulatory requirements
- Continuous Improvement & Automation: Drive digital transformation initiatives, automation projects, and process improvements for performance optimization
Qualifications:
- Full-time B.Tech / BE (Mandatory) Electrical / Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering preferred
- 1216 years of experience in Renewable Energy (Solar/Wind/Hybrid)
- Strong expertise in CMAS platforms, performance analytics, and digital monitoring systems
- Proven experience in handling SCADA systems, communication protocols, and system integrations
- Strong understanding of PR analysis, availability tracking, loss analysis, telemetry, and asset performance optimization
- Experience working with multi-OEM renewable energy assets and centralized monitoring systems
- Exposure to OPC, Modbus, APIs, FTP, RLDC/SLDC, DSM compliance, and cyber-security practices
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in SCADA platforms, analytics tools, dashboards, SAP/ERP, Excel, and reporting systems
