
Job Description:
This position is responsible for overseeing all activities related to store management and disposal.
Key Duties:
- Ensuring adherence to systems, procedures, and SOPs for store functions.
- Maintaining optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Implementing stock control procedures and conducting regular audits and reconciliation.
- Managing inventory using FIFO or LIFO methods, especially for perishable goods.
- Ensuring stock integrity in central stores, preventing shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinating the availability of critical items and managing new item codes.
- Controlling costs by developing new vendors and optimizing item purchases without compromising quality.
- Implementing space optimization and maintaining a clean, organized storage environment using 5S principles.
- Managing material movement in and out of the plant, ensuring timely RGP/NRGP closure.
- Collaborating with purchasing and accounts for timely supplier payments.
- Ensuring proper resource utilization and maintaining a disciplined work environment.
- Complying with corporate SOPs and maintaining asset conditions.
- Handling statutory requirements, including government fees and calibration.
- Overseeing vendor-managed inventories and assisting in developing new material banks.
- Supporting data analysis and decision-making for DH Materials, including assisting sister plants.
- Developing and achieving Service Level Agreements (SLA) for improved service performance.
- Managing scrap disposal in accordance with SOPs and guidelines.
- Training and developing store staff.
- Managing capital expenditures for store process improvements.
- Reducing slow-moving inventory and encouraging continuous development through 5S and Kaizen.
- Leading digitalization efforts such as ERP implementation and automated tracking systems.
- Ensuring cost savings and project item management for expansion projects.
- Monitoring industry trends and continuously reviewing warehouse processes to optimize efficiency, cost, and space utilization.
- Prioritizing shutdown-related arrangements and addressing user department material concerns.
- Handling vendor complaints and ensuring account clearance with the accounts department.
- Adhering to safety norms, IMS, and sustainability standards, while training staff on compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP/SAP, MS Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and process management.
