Cluster Sales Manager - Bancassurance


Job Summary:


We are seeking an experienced Cluster Sales Manager (411 years experience) to manage and grow the Bancassurance channel business within a designated cluster.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing hands-on guidance and support to the bank's employees and the company's KAMs (Key Account Managers) on all sales, submission, and issuance processes.


Key deliverables include achieving NB Premium targets and KAM Activation, maintaining high persistency rates, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, and building high-level strategic relationships with the Banks Cluster Head and key branch staff.


Key Responsibilities and Bancassurance Deliverables:


Channel Relationship Management & Sales Strategy:


- Maintain good relationship with Banks Cluster Head, interacting with them regularly to assess business status and securing support to drive productivity.


- Managing the relationship between the internal team (KAMs) and channel partner (Bank) so as to foster sales for the company and maintain utmost levels of responsiveness to partner requirements.


- Sales activity management including planning, forecasting, and conducting joint sales efforts with bank staff.


- High level relationship mapping with bank staff (very important) to ensure strong engagement and collaboration across the cluster.


Performance & Business Quality Management:


- Achievement of NB Premium target, KAM Activation, and meeting target Product mix ratios.


- Ensure that KAMs meet their respective targets which will promote them to the next level by providing continuous training and performance reviews.


- Ensure that bank employees and KAMs are meeting their team targets as well as individual sales targets.


- Maintain persistency by monitoring case size & healthy product mix, focusing on customer retention and renewal collection rates.


Operational Guidance & Compliance:


- Provide guidance & support to the Banks employee, company KAMs, and all stakeholders in terms of complex submissions, policy issuance, and pending policy resolve processes.


- Ensure adherence to SOPs & sales processes and proactively instigate disciplinary action against those found breaching them.


- Regularly interact with HR to ensure that recruitment is as per plan for the KAM positions, maintaining required manpower levels.


- Drive renewal collection efforts to support persistency and customer retention metrics.


Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:


Experience:


- 4-11 Years in financial services, preferably in the Bancassurance channel.


- Channel Management: Proven ability to manage complex relationships with the Banks Cluster Head and branch staff.


- Sales Metrics: Demonstrated experience achieving NB Premium targets, KAM Activation, and managing Product mix.


- Compliance: Strong focus on process adherence and ensuring compliance with SOPs & sales processes.


- Leadership: Ability to Lead & manage a team of KAMs and motivate channel partner staff.


Preferred Skills:


- Deep understanding of life insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory frameworks (IRDAI).


- Strong analytical skills for monitoring sales activity management and persistency ratios.


- Experience in conducting joint sales calls and product training for bank employees
