Job Title : Cluster Head - Business Banking

Location : Bangalore & Chennai

Experience Required : Minimum 10 Years

Reporting To: Zonal Head / Regional Head - Business Banking

Role Overview:

The Cluster Head - Business Banking is responsible for leading and managing the overall Business Banking operations across the Bangalore and Chennai clusters. The role focuses on driving business growth, profitability, portfolio quality, and customer acquisition while leading high-performing teams and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and drive Business Banking growth across assigned clusters (Bangalore & Chennai)

- Achieve cluster-level targets for CASA, lending, fee income, and profitability

- Lead, mentor, and manage Relationship Managers and Branch Business Banking teams

- Develop and execute cluster-level sales and marketing strategies

- Acquire and manage a portfolio of SME, MSME, and mid-corporate clients

- Ensure high standards of customer service and relationship management

- Monitor credit quality, portfolio performance, and delinquency control

- Work closely with Credit, Risk, Operations, and Product teams for smooth execution

- Ensure adherence to RBI regulations, internal policies, and compliance standards

- Analyze market trends, competition, and identify new business opportunities

- Drive cross-sell of trade finance, transaction banking, and digital banking products

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong understanding of Business Banking products and SME lending

- Proven leadership and team management capabilities

- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills

- Strong analytical and financial assessment skills

- Ability to drive strategy and execution across multiple locations

- Deep knowledge of local markets in Bangalore and Chennai

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualification & Experience:

- MBA / CA / CFA or equivalent professional qualification preferred

- Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Banking / SME Banking

- At least 3-5 years in a leadership or cluster/regional role

- Experience in managing large teams and multi-location operations is mandatory
