Cluster Head Banking is a strategic senior leadership role responsible for the overall financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term strategic growth of a designated cluster or geographical hub of bank branches.
- This leader acts as the Cluster accountable for the entire Cluster P&L, translating the bank's corporate Vision into actionable business plans across multiple branches.
- The role requires proven expertise in Branch Banking Head responsibilities, exceptional strategic planning skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate across product and operations functions to achieve aggressive cluster-level targets.
- Strategic Planning & Financial Leadership (P&L):
- Take full Responsibility for the Cluster P&L, driving revenue growth, optimizing costs, and ensuring the achievement of all profitability metrics across the entire branch cluster.
- Develop and rigorously implement strategies and plans consistent with established volume and value goals across every product line (asset, liability, third-party) and service offered within the cluster.
- Leverage expertise in Branch Banking and Cluster Sales to identify market opportunities, secure large enterprise relationships, and capture market share within the designated geography.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Teams (for portfolio penetration), Operations Teams (for process efficiency), and Regional Delivery Teams (for execution support) to align cluster objectives.
Expansion & Future Planning:
- Proactively conduct market assessments and financial viability studies to recommend plans for setting up of new branches and ATMs in the region, ensuring expansion aligns with the Bank's strategic growth map.
- Maintain a strong focus on people development, acting as an influential leader to build and mentor high-performing Branch Banking Head talent within the cluster.
Required Key Skills:
- Cluster Management: Extensive, proven experience as a Cluster Head or Cluster Manager overseeing multiple banking branches.
- P&L Accountability: Demonstrated experience managing and growing a multi-branch P&L, focusing on revenue diversification and cost optimization.
- Leadership Vision: Proven ability to translate senior leadership Vision into tactical, measurable deliverables for field teams.
