Client Associates - Investment Analyst - Alternative Investment Fund

About the Role:

Client Associates Alternate Fund (CAAF) is a Category II AIF focused on high-growth opportunities across consumer, consumer tech, consumer ancillaries, technology, fintech, and financial services sectors.

The fund operates as an early-stage growth capital platform with total commitments of INR 450 Crores.

CAAF has invested in five companies spanning early-stage and selective late-stage opportunities, including Miraggio, Salad Days, WanderOn, HealthKart, and InsuranceDekho.

The fund team comprises seasoned professionals with deep experience across fundraising, capital deployment, investment banking, and transaction advisory, enabling disciplined sourcing, execution, and portfolio value creation.

Note: CAAF is a scheme managed by Cap Alpha Advisors LLP, a Gurugram-based investment manager firm.

This is a full-time, Gurugram-based position as an Investment Analyst at Client Associates Alternate Fund (CAAF).

The role is designed as a pre-MBA opportunity for individuals aspiring to build a long-term career in finance and investing.

The ideal candidate should:

- Be comfortable with accounting principles and demonstrate a strong understanding of financial statements and valuation methodologies

- Possess a strong academic background and have excellent analytical and research capabilities

- Demonstrate strong written communication skills and ability to articulate investment views

- Be intellectually curious with a genuine interest in consumer and technology-led businesses

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Thesis Development:

- Conduct sector research across consumer, financial services, technology & healthcare

- Analyze industry dynamics, growth drivers, risks, and competitive positioning

- Identify emerging trends and proactive investment opportunities

2. Sourcing & Evaluation:

- Screen companies aligned with the Fund's mandate and thesis

- Analyze financials, business plans, and MIS

- Perform competitor benchmarking, risk-return assessment, and valuation analysis

3. Transaction Support:

- Assist in live deals including due diligence, financial modeling, and investment memos

- Support execution through to closing
