Role Overview:
As Senior Manager - Analytics at ClearTax, you will lead the analytics charter across tax, compliance, fintech products, and growth functions. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Leadership teams to drive data-led decisions, improve customer outcomes, and scale analytics capability in a high-growth fintech environment. This role combines strategic ownership, stakeholder influence, and team leadership, with a strong focus on product analytics, business performance, and experimentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Product Analytics:
- Own analytics for ClearTaxs core products offerings
- Define and track key product and business metrics such as activation, retention, conversion, churn, LTV, and revenue
- Partner with Product Managers to drive product discovery, experimentation (A/B testing), and feature impact analysis
- Support pricing, funnel optimization, and monetization decisions through data insights
Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a strategic analytics partner to Business Heads, Product Leaders, and CXOs
- Translate complex business problems into structured analytical approaches and insights
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, outcome-oriented manner
Team Management & Capability Building:
- Build, manage, and mentor a team of analysts across product, growth, and business analytics
- Establish best practices for analytics, reporting, and data storytelling
- Drive a strong culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement within the team
Data, Reporting & Scale:
- Own dashboards and reporting frameworks for leadership and business teams
- Ensure data accuracy, governance, and consistency across metrics
- Work closely with Data Engineering to improve data pipelines, tracking, and scalability
- Drive automation and self-serve analytics adoption across functions
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in analytics, BI, or data science, preferably in fintech / SaaS / product-led companies
- Proven experience leading and scaling analytics teams
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Tableau / Looker / Power BI)
- Experience with product analytics, funnels, cohorts, and experimentation
- Working knowledge of Python / R for advanced analysis (preferred)
- Strong business acumen and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Experience working in fast-paced, ambiguous, high-growth environments
