We are looking for a Senior Director, IP Service Operations.
You will be responsible for managing and governing Patent and Trademark Renewals operations ensuring compliant execution, operational stability, and client delivery across high-volume portfolios.
The role is execution-led and delivery-critical, with a strong focus on technology-enabled transformation, preventive controls, and predictable client outcomes.
About You Experience, Education, Skills, And Accomplishments:
- Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in people leadership and management roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, compliance-sensitive, transaction-heavy operations.
- Experience within Intellectual Property operations strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of leading technology-enabled operational transformation at scale.
What will you be doing in this role?:
- Own end-to-end execution consistency, compliance, and adherence to defined operational processes and controls across IP Renewals.
- Drive operational stability through preventive controls, standardization, and automation, with clear accountability for incident avoidance rather than reactive resolution.
- Lead technology-led transformation initiatives, including automation, system integration, workflow digitization, and reduction of manual dependencies.
- Oversee high-volume, high-value financial transactions, ensuring zero-defect delivery, financial accuracy, and prevention of revenue leakage.
- Promote standardized ways of working across global teams, reducing dependency on individual judgment and local practices.
- Serve as an operational partner to Senior Leadership by providing early risk signals, execution transparency, and data-driven operational insight.
- Own and evolve global operating models to support scale, complexity, and organizational change.
- Define and govern operational KPIs and performance metrics, ensuring a single source of truth across systems and teams.
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies, driving defect reduction and control maturity.
- Partner with Client Service, Legal, Finance, and Technology teams on client-impacting, high-risk, or compliance-sensitive scenarios.
Management Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct large, multi-site, globally distributed teams across Patent and Trademark Renewals operations.
- Translate company strategy into clear, execution-focused operational objectives with measurable outcomes.
- Provide influential leadership during transformational change, system rollouts, and organizational transitions.
- Build and sustain a culture of ownership, accountability, execution discipline, and risk awareness.
- Develop leadership capability within teams to reduce dependency on individuals and ensure operational resilience.
