Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to support complex financial analysis and advisory engagements. This role involves building financial models, developing forecasts and budgets, supporting strategic initiatives such as M&A, and delivering high-quality, insight-driven outputs to stakeholders and clients.
The ideal candidate is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support complex financial analysis and modeling engagements, including:
- Forecasting business initiatives
- Evaluating financing alternatives
- Performing scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Assessing cash flows to investors and other stakeholders
- Build and maintain robust financial models to evaluate business performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in developing annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans.
- Create and maintain performance dashboards and management reports, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
- Analyze variances between actuals, budget, and forecast, and provide meaningful explanations.
- Compile, organize, and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and risks.
- Support scenario planning and what-if analysis to inform business decisions.
- Conduct research and financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Review financial statements, contracts, and supporting documentation; summarize key findings and risks.
- Assist in preparing client-ready deliverables, including financial decks and reports.
- Participate in virtual meetings and support ongoing client engagements.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Collaborate with team members to continuously improve FP&A tools, models, and processes.
- Contribute to the development of standardized templates and best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Professional certifications (CA / CPA / CFA / MBA Finance) are a plus
Relevant Work Experience:
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in:
- FP&A
- Financial consulting or advisory
- Corporate finance
- Business analytics or strategy roles
- Exposure to client-facing or project-based environments is an advantage
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to independently build and manage complex models
- Working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint for professional reporting and presentations
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize large data sets
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with US GAAP
- Experience with Power BI, advanced analytics tools, or FP&A platforms
- Exposure to coding or automation (Python, SQL, VBA) is a plus
