Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to lead complex financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning engagements. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, client-facing capability, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. The FP&A Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders to support business decisions, transactions, and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Modeling:
Lead and deliver complex financial analysis and modeling engagements, including:
- Forecasting business initiatives and growth strategies
- Evaluating financing alternatives and capital structures
- Performing scenario, sensitivity, and what-if analyses
- Assessing cash flows to investors and other stakeholders
- Build, enhance, and maintain robust financial models to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management:
- Lead the development of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational realities.
- Design and manage performance dashboards and management reports to track KPIs, financial performance, and variances.
- Partner with business stakeholders to interpret results and drive corrective actions.
Data Analysis & Insights:
- Oversee the compilation, organization, and analysis of financial and operational data.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support both short-term performance management and long-term planning.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs.
Strategic & Transactional Support:
Support strategic initiatives, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Fundraising and financing transactions
- Business restructuring and growth initiatives
Conduct research and financial due diligence, including:
- Review of financial statements and legal agreements
- Analysis of business strategies and tax implications
- Preparation of transaction-related financial insights and summaries
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Lead and participate in client meetings (virtual and in-person), ensuring high-quality delivery and responsiveness.
- Manage FP&A engagements end-to-end with a strong focus on client service excellence.
Process Improvement & Tools:
- Continuously enhance FP&A models, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and insight.
Leverage value-added skills such as:
- Power BI or other BI/visualization tools
- FP&A platforms or planning systems
- Coding or automation (where applicable)
- Drive standardization and best practices across FP&A deliverables.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor, coach, and guide junior team members.
- Provide ongoing feedback, knowledge sharing, and support for skill development.
- Contribute to building a high-performing, collaborative FP&A team.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- CFA or equivalent professional qualification (CA, CPA, MBA Finance) is preferred
Relevant Work Experience:
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in:
- Financial Planning & Analysis
- Corporate finance
- Business advisory or consulting
Proven experience in:
- Financial modeling and forecasting
- Budgeting and performance management
- Supporting strategic initiatives and transactions
- Prior client-facing or stakeholder-management experience is highly desirable.
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with US GAAP
- Experience with Power BI, FP&A tools, or financial systems is a plus
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives under tight deadlines
