Role Overview:
We are seeking an Accounting Advisory Manager to lead global client engagements across complex accounting, financial reporting, and transaction-related solutions. This role involves managing multi-location teams, advising clients on US GAAP / IFRS matters, supporting IPO and SPAC transactions, and delivering high-quality accounting advisory services within agreed timelines and budgets.
- The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, client management capabilities, and experience in leading high-performing teams in a consulting or advisory environment.
Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities:
- Lead client service teams to deliver Financial Accounting and Reporting Excellence solutions.
- Review financial statements, including comprehensive notes and disclosures, prepared in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable GAAPs.
- Support PCAOB-compliant financial reporting and assist clients through the audit completion process.
- Review and support SEC filings, including Form 10-Q and 10-K.
- Prepare and review draft comfort letters for capital market transactions.
Provide accounting advisory support for:
- IPO readiness
- SPAC transactions (target and post-merger entities)
- Business combinations and carve-outs
- Support transaction accounting, including purchase price allocation and goodwill assessments.
- Lead GAAP conversions (IFRS - US GAAP - Ind AS).
Advise on accounting changes and implementation of new standards, including:
- Revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15)
- Lease accounting (ASC 842 / IFRS 16)
- Expected Credit Losses (CECL / ECL)
Provide solutions for complex accounting areas, including:
- Goodwill impairment
- Share-based payments
- Financial instruments
Consolidations:
- Develop and review accounting policies and governance frameworks.
- Support audit remediation and audit readiness initiatives.
- Assist with financial statement close process support and consolidation activities.
- Draft and review technical accounting memos.
- Perform technical accounting research and provide well-supported advisory conclusions.
- Support compilation and consolidation of financial statements.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Develop, mentor, and manage junior and mid-level team members.
- Lead and grow a team of accounting advisory professionals across levels.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality work, on time and within budget.
- Identify training and development opportunities for high-performing team members.
- Organize and deliver technical accounting training sessions internally and for clients.
Business Development & Client Management
- Build strong, long-term client relationships.
- Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Support business development and marketing initiatives, including proposal development and client pitches.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education & Certification
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or ACCA
Relevant Experience : 5+ years of post-qualification experience in:
- Accounting advisory
- Audit
- Finance controllership
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in Financial Accounting & Advisory roles
- Proven experience in IPO readiness, SPAC transactions, and business combinations
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- Expert knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS, with working knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS)
Extensive hands-on experience in:
- GAAP conversions and implementation of new accounting standards
- Drafting accounting policies and technical memos
- Financial reporting and consolidation
- Audit coordination and remediation
- Strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements
