Role Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Finance Controller with around 5 years of experience to manage core finance functions and support the financial growth of our e-commerce operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in building a scalable, process-driven, and insights-led finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and MIS reports.

- Coordinate with statutory auditors and tax consultants for filings and audits.

Budgeting & Forecasting

- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models.

- Track performance against budgets with detailed variance analysis.

- Provide insights on business performance to category, marketing, and ops teams.

Taxation & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, PT, and other statutory regulations.

- Manage filings and coordinate with consultants for timely submissions.

- Monitor e-commerce marketplace compliance (TCS, returns, commission reconciliation).

Business Finance & Commercial Analysis

- Analyze category margins, customer acquisition costs (CAC), return on ad spend (ROAS), and inventory turns.

- Support decision-making for pricing, campaigns, and logistics cost optimization.

- Reconcile marketplace payouts, discounts, and promotional expenses.

Cash Flow & Working Capital

- Manage daily cash flows, vendor payments, and receivables.

- Support funding utilization tracking and working capital planning.

- Monitor inventory and returns from a finance control perspective.

Process & Control Implementation

- Implement internal controls and SOPs across procurement, operations, and returns.

- Drive automation and digitization in accounting and finance processes (Tally/SAP/Zoho/NetSuite).

Qualifications:

- CA (Chartered Accountant) Mandatory

- 46 years of relevant post-qualification experience (preferably in e-commerce, retail, D2C, or consumer brands)

Key Skills:

- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, and Indian compliance framework

- Comfort with Excel, MIS dashboards, and ERP/accounting tools

- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Preferred Experience:

- Worked in a startup or high-growth e-commerce environment

- Exposure to B2C and marketplace models (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.)

- Hands-on experience with reconciliations, payout structures, and platform dashboards
