Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) - E-commerce / Business Operations

Experience: 2 - 5 years in E-commerce, Business Operations, Supply Chain, Last Mile, Strategy, Consulting, or a high-growth startup environment.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly analytical and entrepreneurial Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) to work closely with the leadership team and own high-impact business problems across the e-commerce value chain. The EIR will identify growth and efficiency opportunities, build data-driven solutions, drive cross-functional execution, and convert strategic initiatives into measurable business outcomes.

1. Business & Strategy:

- Identify critical business problems and develop data-driven solutions.

- Work directly with senior leadership on strategic and operational priorities.

- Build business cases for new initiatives, processes, and growth opportunities.

- Identify opportunities to improve revenue, contribution margin, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

- Drive new initiatives from concept to execution and scale.

2. Operations & Supply Chain:

- Own key operational metrics across fulfilment, last-mile delivery, capacity, productivity, SLA, and customer experience.

- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.

- Design and optimize processes across warehouses, stores/spokes, delivery operations, and logistics.

- Improve manpower utilization, delivery productivity, capacity planning, and cost efficiency.

- Build frameworks for monitoring operational performance at city, cluster, and unit levels.

3. Data & Analytics:

- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, gaps, and business opportunities.

- Build dashboards and performance trackers for critical business metrics.

- Define KPIs and establish mechanisms for regular performance reviews.

- Conduct root-cause analysis and convert insights into actionable interventions.

- Develop forecasting and capacity planning models where required.

4. Project / Program Management:

- Own strategic projects end-to-end from problem identification to implementation.

- Define project objectives, milestones, KPIs, and success criteria.

- Coordinate with Product, Technology, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations teams.

- Track execution and ensure timely closure of critical action items.

- Scale successful pilots across cities, clusters, or business units.

5. Cost & Productivity Optimization:

- Identify opportunities to reduce operational and fulfilment costs.

- Improve productivity of delivery partners, store executives, warehouse teams, and other operational resources.

- Build incentive and productivity frameworks aligned with business objectives.

- Monitor unit economics and identify deviations from target.

6. Process & Technology:

- Identify manual and inefficient processes and work with Product/Tech teams to automate them.

- Translate operational requirements into clear product requirements.

- Test new technology/process interventions through pilots.

- Use automation and data to improve operational visibility and decision-making.

Required Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
