Role Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Retail Planner to manage merchandise planning, optimize inventory, and drive profitability. The ideal candidate should have experience in retail fashion planning, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage Seasonal OTB and Option Plans.

- Track KPIs: Sales, Sell-through %, Stock Turns, Inward & Outward movements.

- Provide weekly/monthly performance reports to senior leadership.

- Monitor and manage markdown strategy to optimize sell-through and margins.

- Suggest markdowns based on product performance and ageing.

- Prepare and maintain Product/Category-level P&L statements.

- Align merchandise planning with financial targets in coordination with Finance.

- Maintain optimal inventory levels across categories and store locations.

- Analyze trends and forecast demand to support merchandise buying.

- Collaborate with Buying, Marketing, VM, and Finance for execution alignment.

- Recommend actions to improve Gross Margin and reduce inventory risk.

- Utilize historical data and market trends for accurate planning and allocation

Candidate Requirements:

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Business, Retail, or related field.

- 4-8 years of relevant experience in Retail Planning, preferably in the Fashion/Retail sector.

- Strong knowledge of retail math, inventory management, and sales forecasting.

- Proficiency in Excel/MIS tools and analytical reporting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong problem-solving ability and a keen eye for detail.
