Role Overview We are looking for a sharp and entrepreneurial Category Manager FMCG to lead growth and profitability across key FMCG verticals including Processed Foods, Beverages, Home Care, and Personal Care. You will be responsible for managing assortment, driving vendor relationships, and delivering strong business outcomes across revenue, margin, and availability metrics. Key Responsibilities Business & P&L Ownership - Own full P&L for your FMCG sub-category, including sales, margins, supply metrics, and promotions - Develop annual and monthly operating plans for the category in line with platform goals Assortment & Pricing - Identify the right product mix based on consumer insights and regional preferences - Work with analytics to design assortment for use-cases (daily staples, festive, seasonal, etc.) - Ensure sharp price-value positioning vs competition Brand & Vendor Management - Build deep relationships with FMCG manufacturers and distributors - Lead negotiations for margin, supply terms, and marketing spends - Drive availability and fill rate performance across SKUs Growth Initiatives - Plan and execute visibility and marketing campaigns (both digital and on-ground) - Identify white spaces for launching private labels or regional brands - Collaborate with marketing and product teams for feature launches and merchandising Cross-functional Collaboration - Work closely with the supply chain to align on demand planning and inventory norms - Partner with city operations teams to drive regional execution - Leverage consumer insights and data to make informed decisions Qualifications & Experience - 4 to 8 years of experience in FMCG or retail/e-commerce businesses - Prior experience with FMCG brands or in retail category management is mandatory - Strong understanding of FMCG trade dynamics in India (modern trade/general trade) - Commercial acumen with strong negotiation and vendor management skills - Proficient in data-driven decision-making (Excel/Sheets, dashboards; SQL is a plus) - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment - MBA or equivalent degree preferred Why Join CityMall? - Be at the forefront of building Indias leading value commerce platform for Bharat - Own and shape the FMCG category for a high-growth, high-impact business - Work with a passionate and mission-driven team solving for real Bharat households
