Operations:
- Own end-to-end city operations - planning, execution, processes, vendors, manpower, logistics and on-ground problem solving.
Events:
- Initially lead the Mumbai events business end-to-end - from event conceptualisation and planning through execution, customer experience and post-event analysis.
Budgeting & Costing:
- Build and manage event and city budgets; track actuals vs. plan and optimise venue, vendor, manpower, production and operating costs.
Revenue & Growth:
- Identify opportunities to increase event revenue, attendance, repeat participation and city-level monetisation; test new formats and partnerships.
Vendor & Partner Management:
- Build and manage relationships with venues, event vendors, production partners and local stakeholders; negotiate commercials and quality.
Customer Experience:
- Own the end-to-end customer experience across offline touchpoints in Mumbai.
Team & People:
- Build and manage the Mumbai operating team as the city scales; evaluate hiring needs, productivity and people costs.
0-1 City Building:
- Take Mumbai from early-stage operations to a scalable, profitable city business and build repeatable operating playbooks.
Requirements:
- Experience building or scaling a city-level business.
- Strong vendor negotiation and partner management.
- Experience managing multiple operational stakeholders.
- High comfort with on-ground / offline execution.
- Experience in high-growth consumer, hospitality, travel, events or D2C/B2C businesses.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Ability to work closely with founders and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated examples of improving revenue, margins, cost efficiency or profitability.
