Circle Relationship Head - Banca Channel - Life Insurance

Business Growth & Revenue Delivery:

- Own and deliver circle-level business targets including APE, premium, case count, and revenue through bancassurance partners.

- Develop and execute circle sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.

- Drive product mix optimization (protection, savings, annuity, ULIP) to improve profitability and persistency.

- Monitor key performance indicators including conversion ratios, ticket size, and activation levels.

Bank Relationship Management:

- Build and manage senior-level relationships with circle heads, regional heads, and key stakeholders of partner banks.

- Act as the primary escalation point for bank partners at the circle level.

- Negotiate business plans, sales drives, and joint initiatives with banking partners.

- Ensure strong partner engagement through reviews, recognition programs, and governance forums.

Team Leadership & Capability Building:

- Lead, mentor, and manage Regional Managers, Area Managers, and Relationship Managers within the circle.

- Drive performance management through goal setting, reviews, coaching, and corrective actions.

- Build a high-performance culture focused on ethics, compliance, and customer-centricity.

- Support talent acquisition, onboarding, and succession planning.

Training & Sales Enablement:


- Ensure effective product, process, and sales training for banca sales teams and bank staff.

- Drive adoption of digital tools, lead management systems, and sales analytics.

- Collaborate with training and marketing teams to roll out campaigns, contests, and sales initiatives.

Compliance, Risk & Governance:

- Ensure adherence to IRDAI regulations, bancassurance guidelines, and company policies.

- Drive high-quality business with focus on persistency, claims ratio, and customer experience.

- Monitor mis-selling risks, documentation quality, and audit findings.

- Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints and audit issues.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:


- Review daily, weekly, and monthly performance dashboards.

- Analyze trends, gaps, and opportunities across branches and regions.

- Present circle performance reviews to senior management with actionable insights.

Stakeholder Collaboration:


- Coordinate with internal teams including Operations, Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Marketing, and Product.

- Act as the voice of the bank partner within the organization and vice versa.

Key Skills & Competencies:


- Strong understanding of Life Insurance products and bancassurance business model.

- Proven ability to manage large geographies and multi-level teams.

- Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and influencing skills.

- Strong business acumen with analytical and strategic thinking.

- High integrity and strong compliance orientation.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
