Job Description : As a Director Technology, you will be a key leader of the team that will develop & maintain multi-tenant e-commerce platform infrastructure based on micro-services architecture and best of breed approach deployed for use for our business units. This infrastructure powers global customer facing portals and tools. You will play an instrumental role in defining the system architecture, lead and implement major pieces of the back-end infrastructure and shape the experience of the customers. Have you heard of : - Continuous Delivery - Amazon EC2 / Amazon Lambda - GitHub - Automatic testing - Microservice architectures - Agile development methodologies - Spring-boot If this is way of life for you currently or in past life then, you can read on- In this role you will : - Hire, grow and lead a development team, including team leads, software engineers and quality engineers, who are responsible for portions of the Software ecosystem. - Build the software platform that includes solution integration and delivery to various units. - Create a structured engineering environment, mentor and develop both managers and engineers, foster a working environment where top technology talent is attracted, developed and retained. - Collaborate closely with global team and leaders to extend program leadership, partnership and delivery to roadmaps. - Communicate with regional and local partners and key executives on software capabilities, technology, and business needs. - Demonstrate strong technical skills, the ability to understand the big picture of the codebase for complex functional areas, and to articulate a technical roadmap for future development. In return you will bring - BS or MS in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or similar preferred - 12-15 years- experience designing, developing and delivering enterprise level software - Last 3-4 years have been spent in hard core tech leadership and management experience of enterprise-scale - Experience and interest in closely working with business and other leaders in defining the roadmap of the product, developing the design and implementation plan and developing them - Experience as a cofounder of a technology startup would be highly desirable This is a fantastic opportunity for you within a highly dynamic, rewarding environment.
