Job Title: Fractional CHRO (Chief Human Resource Officer)

Experience: 15+ years of relevant HR leadership experience

Engagement Model: Fractional role with equity-only compensation

Work Mode:

Remote with occasional on-site participation for key pilots, leadership discussions, and startup events

Chiestra Racehorse Business supports startup founders by co-building and co-delivering strategic leadership, operational excellence, and investor connectivity to help startups scale sustainably across sectors.

Role Overview:

The Fractional CHRO will act as a strategic HR leader for early-stage and growth-stage startups within the RBC ecosystem.

The role focuses on building strong leadership teams, enabling organizational excellence, and driving long-term value creation through people strategy, all in an equity-based engagement model.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

- Lead talent strategy and leadership hiring for partnered startups across multiple sectors

- Identify, assess, and onboard senior leadership including Fractional CTO, CMO, COO, and other CXO roles

- Conduct high-impact interviews and evaluations for senior leaders with 15+ years of experience

- Achieve a monthly target of onboarding 710 fractional CXOs across the startup portfolio

- Build and maintain a strong, high-quality fractional leadership talent pool

- Manage resource excellence by tracking leadership performance and engagement outcomes

- Partner closely with startup founders to align people strategy with business goals

- Drive leadership motivation, engagement, and long-term value creation within startups

- Proactively identify emerging talent needs and opportunities within the startup ecosystem

- Advise founders on org design, leadership structuring, and people scalability

- Act as a trusted HR advisor and thought partner to founders and startup boards

- Represent RBC in leadership discussions, ecosystem forums, and investor interactions when required

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Deep expertise across core HR functions including leadership hiring, org design, and talent strategy

- Proven experience working with startups, founders, and fast-scaling organizations

- Strong understanding of fractional leadership models and equity-based compensation structures

- Excellent stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills

- Ability to assess leadership capability, cultural fit, and execution readiness

- Strong networking ability within startup, investor, and CXO ecosystems

- Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability

- High ownership, entrepreneurial mindset, and comfort working in ambiguity

- Ability to work independently while managing multiple startup engagements
