1. Role Overview:


The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will be responsible for defining and executing the technology vision and strategy for the organization. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CTO will lead product engineering, IT infrastructure, digital transformation, innovation, and technology operations to support business goals. The role requires a technology visionary with strong business acumen, capable of building scalable, secure, and future-ready technology platforms while leading high-performing teams. The CTO will align technology roadmap with business objectives, manage resources and budgets, and drive innovation in line with competitive and market trends.


2. Key Responsibilities:


Technology Strategy & Vision


- Define and implement the organizations multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business strategy.


- Identify emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on business scalability, efficiency, and competitiveness.


- Drive innovation, digital transformation, and adoption of disruptive technologies (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, data analytics).


Technology Architecture & Product Development


- Lead software/product development lifecycle and technology architecture decisions.


- Ensure systems are scalable, robust, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards.


- Oversee data strategy, technology stack optimization, and engineering best practices.


IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity


- Manage IT infrastructure, networks, cloud/on-prem environments, cybersecurity, and governance.


- Implement Business Continuity Planning, DR, data-protection, and privacy policies.


Leadership & People Management


- Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional technology teams (engineering, DevOps, data, IT).


- Establish strong culture of innovation, delivery excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.


Cross-Functional Collaboration


- Work closely with business leaders (Product, Operations, Finance, HR, Sales) to translate business needs into technical solutions.


- Collaborate on new product development, process automation, and digital initiatives.


Budgeting & Vendor Management


- Own technology budgets, resource planning, and investment decisions.


- Evaluate and manage technology partnerships, vendors, and outsourcing arrangements.


Risk Management ; Governance


- Proactively identify and mitigate technology-related business risks.


- Ensure all systems and platforms comply with data security, regulatory, and industry standards.


Reporting ; Stakeholder Engagement


- Present technology updates, KPIs, and project progress to CEO, board, and key stakeholders.


- Act as a technology evangelist internally and externally when required.


3. Required Experience & Qualifications:


- Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.


- MBA or business management qualification preferred (not mandatory).


- 12-20+ years of overall technology experience including:


- 5-10 years in a leadership / executive technology role.


- Proven expertise in technology strategy, architecture, and scaling platforms (preferably in B2B/SaaS/digital/AI-driven systems).


- Experience building and managing high-performance engineering/product teams.


- Strong knowledge of software development best practices, cloud architectures, DevOps, data platforms, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.


- Successful track record delivering large-scale technology projects/products and aligning technology with business growth.


4. Key Competencies:


- Ability to define technology vision aligned to long-term business goals


- Deep knowledge of architecture, product engineering, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity


- Capability to inspire, lead, mentor large technology teams


- Driving digital transformation, adoption of emerging technologies


- Understanding of business models, ROI, and technology investment impacts


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to take high-impact decisions


- Ability to interface with leadership, investors, partners, and clients


- Anticipating and managing tech risks, ensuring compliance & cybersecurity


- Clear articulation of complex tech concepts to non-technical stakeholders


5. Compensation:
