Role Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned CTO to lead the technology, manufacturing excellence, process innovation and technical strategy for a growing specialty chemicals business engaged in the import and distribution of bulk, intermediates and specialty chemicals, along with manufacturing of polyester resins and raw materials for the resin and paints industries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead manufacturing technology, process engineering, technical operations and R&D across polyester resin manufacturing.

- Drive process optimization, yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity and manufacturing efficiency.

- Develop and implement technology roadmaps for existing and new product categories, including new product development and scale-up.

- Lead technical evaluation of raw materials, formulations, processes and manufacturing technologies.

- Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Commercial teams to improve overall business performance.

- Identify opportunities for automation, digitization and technology-led operational improvements across manufacturing.

- Ensure strong adherence to quality, safety, regulatory and environmental standards.

- Evaluate and manage relationships with technology partners, technical vendors and external R&D / manufacturing partners.

- Build and mentor a high-performing technical and R&D team while establishing strong technical processes and governance.

Ideal Candidate:

- 10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, resins, coatings, paints or allied industries.

- Strong experience in polyester resins / synthetic resins / coatings / polymers would be highly preferred.

- Proven experience across manufacturing technology, process engineering, R&D, NPD and process improvement.

- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, scale-up and commercialization.

- Experience managing cross-functional technical teams and working closely with senior leadership.

- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to translate technology and innovation into business growth and profitability.
