Description: Strong CTO / Technology Head Profile with experience in scaling complex B2B SaaS / ERP platforms



- Mandatory (Location) Candidate must be based out of Delhi NCR / Gurugram and open to working from office



- Mandatory (Experience 1) Must have minimum 12+ years of overall experience, including 5+ years in B2B SaaS / ERP product companies in a hands-on technology leadership capacity



- Mandatory (Experience 2) Must have deep experience architecting and scaling cloud-native enterprise platforms, including multi-tenant, API-driven, modular backends



- Mandatory (Experience 3) Must have extensive experience handling complex data models (multi-entity hierarchy, workflows, permissions, accounting, approvals) and ensuring backend robustness, data integrity, and configurability



- Mandatory (Experience 4) Must have proven experience in large-scale enterprise integrations CRM, Accounting, HRMS, SCM, SSO, APIs, and Compliance Layers



- Mandatory (Experience 5) Must have experience managing or modernizing large engineering teams, with direct responsibility for platform scalability, performance, and reliability



- Mandatory (Experience 6) Must have hands-on technical depth ability to review code, guide architectural decisions, and balance short-term delivery with long-term product vision.



- Note (Team/Reporting) Current tech team size ~150+, role reports directly to CEO, with company targeting 3 growth and IPO in next 3 years.

This is an opportunity to join the core leadership team as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and shape the future of a product thats redefining how retailers operate across markets.



Role Overview:



As the CTO, you will serve as the hands-on technology leader, working directly with the CEO and CPO to align business goals with technical strategy. You will lead the transformation of the platform from on-premise to a cloud-native, multi-tenant architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and innovation.



Youll also build, mentor, and elevate a large engineering team into a high-velocity, product-focused organization, capable of executing short-term objectives while staying true to a long-term technology vision.



This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges at scale, enjoys technical depth, and has the leadership maturity to drive both innovation and delivery excellence.



Key Responsibilities:



1. Cloud-Native Platform Execution:



- Lead the end-to-end migration of existing on-premise customers to a single, scalable, multi-tenant cloud platform.



- Ensure security, performance, and configurability while maintaining zero disruption for end users.



- Define the architecture standards and best practices for long-term scalability.



2. Scalability for Growth:



- Architect systems that can handle 10 scale in data, users, and transactions.



- Implement microservices, distributed systems, and modern DevOps practices to support seamless expansion.



- Drive technical decision-making on tools, frameworks, and infrastructure investments.



3. Technology Roadmap & Vision:



- Collaborate closely with the CPO to design and execute a forward-looking 35 year technology roadmap.



- Enable the development of an open API ecosystem, deeper enterprise integrations, and the foundation for data and AI-driven products.



- Balance innovation with stability ensuring future readiness without compromising current velocity.



4. Reliability & Quality:



- Establish reliability benchmarks 99.9% uptime, sub-second latency, and improved system performance.



- Lead initiatives to reduce production issues and enhance platform robustness.



- Set up quality engineering and automated testing frameworks that ensure flawless releases.



5. Tech Organization Maturity:



- Mentor and grow a team of 150+ engineers into a metrics-driven, ownership-oriented organization.



- Introduce agile processes, measurable KPIs, and transparent communication frameworks.



- Create a strong engineering culture focused on innovation, learning, and accountability.



Ideal Candidate Profile:



- 12+ years of experience in technology leadership roles within SaaS or enterprise product companies.



- Proven success in architecting, scaling, and operating large, complex, cloud-native enterprise systems.



- Deep hands-on understanding of multi-tenant architecture, APIs, integrations, and data models.



- Experience leading or modernizing large engineering teams (100+ members).



- Excellent balance of technical depth and strategic thinking can review code when needed, yet see the bigger product and business vision.



- Collaborative, high-energy leader who can partner effectively with product, business, and design teams.

- Faster and more predictable release cycles.



- Reduced defects and higher team engagement.



- 100% customer migration to the cloud with 0% churn due to technical issues.



- 99.9% uptime and performance benchmarks maintained post-migration.



- Documented 3-year technology roadmap that supports 10 scale and business goals.



- At least 90% delivery success against product and technology roadmap milestones.
