Role Summary:

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead the technology vision, architecture, and execution for our client's global platforms, including Omnichannel CPaaS, RCS, Network APIs, and other products and solutions.

The CTO will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms, driving innovation, and ensuring technology capabilities support both MNO and enterprise clients globally. This role will partner closely with Product, Revenue, and Operations teams to enable business growth and differentiation.

Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy and Vision:

- Define and execute the long-term technology roadmap aligned with business and product strategy.

- Drive innovation across telecom, CPaaS, and API ecosystems.

- Ensure technology scalability, flexibility, and future readiness (5G, cloud-native, AI).

Platform Architecture and Engineering:

- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-availability platforms:

1. Omnichannel CPaaS platform

2. RCS for Business platforms

3. Network APIs

- Ensure low latency, high throughput, and global reliability.

Infrastructure and Cloud Management:

- Drive cloud-native architecture and infrastructure strategy (AWS/Azure/GCP or hybrid).

- Ensure systems are highly available, resilient, and cost-efficient.

- Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and global traffic handling.

Security, Compliance and Reliability:

- Establish best-in-class cybersecurity practices and data protection frameworks.

- Ensure compliance with telecom regulations, data privacy laws, and international standards.

- Build robust systems for fraud detection, network security, and platform integrity.

AI and Automation:

- Leverage AI/ML for intelligent routing, fraud detection, predictive analytics, and performance optimization.

- Enable AI-driven capabilities in CPaaS (bots, automation, customer interaction).

- Introduce automation across development, testing, monitoring, and operations (DevOps, AIOps).

Engineering Excellence and Delivery:

- Implement agile methodologies and modern engineering practices (CI/CD, microservices, APIs).

- Ensure faster time-to-market and high-quality releases.

- Drive engineering productivity, code quality, and innovation.

Collaboration with Product and Business:

- Partner with CPO to translate product vision into scalable technology solutions.

- Work with CRO and CMO teams to support customer requirements and new opportunities.

- Provide technical insights for new market entry and partnerships.

Vendor and Partner Ecosystem:

- Manage relationships with technology vendors, telecom operators, and platform providers.

- Evaluate and onboard new technologies to strengthen capabilities.

- Drive integration strategies with MNOs and enterprise systems.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

- Advanced qualifications in cloud, architecture, or security are a plus.

Experience:

- 18+ years of experience in technology leadership roles.

- At least 8 years in a senior leadership position (CTO / VP Engineering / Head of Technology).

- Strong experience in telecom, CPaaS, messaging platforms, or SaaS infrastructure.

- Proven experience building large-scale, high-availability systems.

Key Skills:

- Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture, and APIs.

- Strong understanding of telecom protocols (SMPP, SS7, SIP, Diameter, etc.).

- Experience with high-volume transaction systems and real-time processing.

- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.

- Strategic thinking with hands-on technical understanding.

- Ability to bridge business needs with technology solutions.
