Chief Technology Officer

We are not looking for a typical IT Project Manager or Tech Delivery Head.

This role is for a business-oriented technology leader who can:

- Integrate technology across multiple business lines (Retail, Hospitality, E-commerce)

- Build systems that directly improve sales, efficiency, and customer experience

- Lead digital transformation projects such as warehouse robotics, D2C scaling, and omnichannel systems integration

Position Summary:

Experience: 10-15 years in Retail / E-commerce / Consumer-focused organisations

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technology Strategy & Roadmap - Define and execute the group's technology roadmap aligned to business goals. Oversee implementation of ERP, POS, CRM, and E-commerce systems.

2. Retail & E-commerce Integration - Strengthen omnichannel presence across online and offline stores. Enhance website performance, customer data tracking, and CRM for loyalty.

3. Warehouse Automation & Operations Technology - Lead deployment of robotics for saree warehousing (folding, scanning, dispatch). Implement NFC/chip-based product tracking systems.

4. Data & Analytics - Enable real-time dashboards for sales, inventory, and operations. Ensure business teams have access to actionable insights.

5. Vendor & Team Management - Manage internal tech teams and external technology vendors. Ensure cost efficiency, reliability, and timely delivery.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Background - Retail, E-commerce, or Consumer Product industry (mandatory). Experience in multi-store or D2C environment preferred. Exposure to warehouse automation or tech-driven retail operations advantageous.

Experience Areas - ERP / POS / CRM Implementation; E-commerce Tech (Shopify, Magento, or Custom Platforms); Data Integration and BI Tools; Automation / RFID / NFC exposure preferred.

Mindset - Business-first approach with strong commercial understanding. Able to translate business goals into practical technology solutions. Hands-on yet strategic; able to lead, plan, and execute.

- IT Project Managers focused only on software delivery

- Infrastructure or Networking Managers from non-consumer industries

- Agency-side website developers without retail or business integration experience
