About the Role:
- We are seeking an experienced Technology Director / Head of Engineering to lead our Data Engineering and Tech team.
- This role requires a blend of hands-on technical depth, architectural leadership, and strategic vision.
- You will play a key role in scaling our technology, building robust infrastructure, and shaping the future of our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Leadership: Drive end-to-end architecture and execution for data pipelines, APIs, and backend systems.
Data Engineering: Design and oversee large-scale data platforms, ETL pipelines, and analytics infrastructure (Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
Backend Engineering: Architect and optimize microservices and APIs for high availability, scalability, and performance.
Technical Strategy: Translate business vision into technical roadmaps in collaboration with product and business teams.
Team Management: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team; establish best practices in design, coding, and DevOps.
Innovation & Quality: Drive engineering excellence, CI/CD, and code quality.
Scalability: Build and manage systems capable of handling massive data volumes and rapid user growth.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in backend and data engineering roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Deep expertise in Python/Java/Scala, SQL, and distributed data technologies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven track record in system architecture, data modeling, and real-time data processing.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to balance execution detail and strategic vision.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in SaaS, AI/ML-powered platforms, or large-scale enterprise systems.
- Prior experience setting up engineering teams or tech architecture from the ground up.
