About the Role :
The Chief Supply Chain Officer will own end-to-end supply chain strategy for The Company spanning procurement, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and distribution to ensure product availability, cost efficiency, and service levels across D2C, e-commerce, and retail channels as the company scales. The role reports directly to the Founder.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own overall supply chain strategy: demand planning, S&OP, inventory management, warehousing, and lastmile logistics
- Drive procurement strategy for raw materials and finished goods, including vendor negotiation and import procurement
- Build and manage inventory optimization frameworks to balance working capital with product availability across D2C, e-commerce, and retail stores
- Lead warehousing and distribution network design, including 3PL/logistics partner management
- Own supply chain P&L: freight, warehousing, and inventory carrying costs
- Partner closely with Manufacturing on production planning and raw material availability
- Partner with E-Commerce, Retail, and Sales teams to ensure fill rates and on-time delivery targets are met
- Build demand forecasting and S&OP processes to align supply with sales and marketing plans
- Lead, mentor, and scale supply chain teams (Procurement, Logistics, Inventory Management, S&OP)
- Drive supply chain technology adoption (WMS, inventory systems, forecasting tools)
- Report supply chain KPIs (fill rate, inventory turns, on-time delivery, cost-to-serve) to the Founder and leadership team
Requirements :
- 15+ years of experience in supply chain leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior/CXO-level role
- Proven experience scaling supply chain operations in a high-growth D2C, FMCG, furniture, or consumer durables environment
- Strong track record across procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and logistics/distribution
- Experience with omnichannel supply chains (D2C + e-commerce + retail) preferred
- Deep expertise in S&OP, demand planning, and inventory optimization
- Experience managing large P&Ls and cross-functional teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills to work closely with the Founder, Manufacturing, Finance, and ECommerce teams
- Engineering or Supply Chain Management degree; MBA preferred
