Chief Strategy Officer - Payment Services

Role Overview:

The position is with Payment services and they are looking for a Chief Strategy Officer reporting to the MD.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Growth & Business Scaling:

- Partner with the MD to define Company's medium- and long-term strategic roadmap.

- Identify and evaluate opportunities to scale existing lines of business, including market expansion, distribution scale-up, and partnership-led growth.

- Build business cases, financial models, and go-to-market plans for new initiatives.

- Track industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory shifts in fintech/BFSI to keep Company ahead of the curve.

2. New Product & Business Line Innovation:

- Proactively identify and pitch new product ideas and adjacent business lines that leverage Company's existing assets, network, and customer base.

- Lead ideation-to-launch for new initiatives from concept validation and pilot design to scaling successful bets.

- Bring an external, first-principles view to identify unmet customer needs and emerging fintech opportunities.

- Build a structured framework for evaluating, prioritizing, and sequencing new opportunities.

3. People & Organizational Leadership:

- Act as a creative problem-solver for people and organizational challenges that arise while scaling the business.

- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across strategy, business development, and new initiatives.

- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

- Work closely with functional leaders (Product, Tech, Operations, Sales, Finance) to align strategic priorities with execution capacity.

4. Execution & Stakeholder Management:

- Translate strategic plans into actionable roadmaps with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics.

- Represent Company in key partnership, investor, and industry conversations as needed.

- Provide the MD with regular insights, recommendations, and decision support on strategic matters.

- Set up governance mechanisms (reviews, dashboards, OKRs) to track progress on strategic initiatives.

5. M&A & Corporate Development:

- Construct and manage a forward-looking pipeline of acquisitions, strategic alliances, and joint ventures that reinforce Company's overarching growth objectives.
