EXPERIENCE
- 2-6 years of progressive experience in strategy, finance, operations, proven track record of working closely with promoters, CXOs in multi entity or diversified business groups.
- 1-3 years in similar role.
JOB BRIEF
The Strategy Officer is a key position in the organization and will work closely with the Group CEO, across the various portfolio companies and multiple new strategic initiatives.
The role will include:
- Shadow the Group CEO and ensure closure on all follow up actions
- Drive alignment across departments and legal entities
- Prioritize and project manage new initiatives that are being driven by the CEOs office
- To ensure that all direction setting by the CEO is taken to its logical conclusion across businesses.
It is ideal for a highly organized, analytical, and proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can translate vision into execution.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from ideation to execution
- Facilitate communication between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders
- Manage executive priorities, including scheduling, travel, and meeting agendas
- Lead cross-functional projects and ensure alignment with company goals
- Prepare reports, presentations, and executive briefings for internal and external stakeholders
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements
- Represent the CEO in meetings and decision-making forums when needed
- Monitor organizational performance metrics and drive accountability
- Monitor and track strategic priorities and long-term objectives
- Lead and coordinate cross-entity initiatives, ensuring alignment and timely execution.
- Lead special projects and strategic initiatives from conception to execution with Directors and
Leadership team across business entities.
- Track progress, manage resources, and resolve roadblocks across departments.
- Support M&A activities, partnerships, and new business ventures as needed.
- Monitor key operational metrics and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Facilitate leadership meetings, including agenda planning, documentation, and follow-ups.
- Drive internal communications and ensure consistent messaging across entities.
QUALIFICATION
- MBA Tier 1 College (IIMA, IIMB)_Finance Background
- MBA Tie 2 or Reputed Business School_Finance Background
SKILLS
Strategic Planning, Business Analysis and performance tracking, Goal setting, Cost optimization strategies, Project leadership, Cross-functional collaboration, corporate governance and regulatory compliance, Executive-level communication and presentation, Confidentiality and discretion, High emotional intelligence, Conflict resolution and diplomacy. Regulatory compliance is not a must but good to have.
TECHNICAL & TOOL PROFICIENCY
Advance Excel, Document and Presentation tools, Project Management Tool (eg: Microsoft TO DO). Proficiency in using AI.
