We are hiring for a Chief Sales & Marketing position, for a reputed manufacturing company.
Location - Kolkata
Industry - Home Building (Preferring Grey Cement/TMT Bars)
Territory - Pan India (Must have experience in managing Eastern India - Bengal, North East, Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha,UP)
Exp - 18yrs+
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve volume, profitability, and market share targets.
- Lead and manage regional sales teams across multiple territories.
- Drive primary and secondary sales through strong distribution penetration.
Channel & Distribution Management:
- Build, strengthen, and monitor dealer, distributor, and retailer networks.
- Evaluate channel performance and introduce incentive schemes and trade promotions.
- Monitor credit control, collections, and channel profitability.
Marketing & Branding:
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns, product promotions, and brand-building activities.
- Liaise with marketing agencies for digital, ATL/BTL campaigns.
- Conduct market research, competitor mapping, and pricing analysis.
Institutional & Project Sales:
- Build relationships with large contractors, builders, architects, government bodies, and infra companies.
- Drive bulk orders and long-term institutional partnerships.
Business Strategy & Operations:
- Prepare annual business plans, budgets, and sales forecasts.
- Analyse sales MIS, market trends, customer insights, and demand patterns.
- Ensure smooth coordination with production, logistics, SCM, finance, and quality teams.
Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor high-performance sales teams.
- Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive a culture of accountability and growth.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Grey Cement/TMT or Building Materials market.
- Expertise in channel sales, institutional sales, and distribution management.
- Strategic planning, negotiation, and pricing skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with SAP/CRM tools preferred.
Educational Qualification:
- MBA in Sales & Marketing / Business Management preferred.
- B.Tech / Engineering background is an added advantage.
