About the Company:

A Series A funded fintech building a next-generation platform to simplify how consumers manage credit. Backed by leading venture investors, the company is now entering its next phase of growth by launching its lending business and building a scalable digital credit platform.

As they scale their lending operations, they are looking for a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to design and lead the companys end-to-end risk function.

Role Overview:

This is a founding leadership role responsible for building the risk framework for the lending business from the ground up. The role will combine credit risk strategy, policy design, underwriting frameworks, analytics, and portfolio monitoring to ensure strong growth with disciplined risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and lead the end-to-end credit risk function for the lending business.

- Design credit policies, underwriting frameworks, and risk governance structures.

- Develop risk models, scorecards, and analytics frameworks to drive data-led credit decisions.

- Monitor portfolio performance, early warning signals, and loss metrics to maintain portfolio quality.

- Partner with product, data, and lending teams to embed risk intelligence into lending journeys.

- Work closely with bank/NBFC partners to structure partner-led lending programs.

- Ensure alignment with RBI guidelines and responsible lending practices.

Ideal Candidate:

- 1218 years of experience in credit risk, analytics, or lending strategy within fintech, banks, or NBFCs.

- Experience building or managing digital lending risk frameworks.

- Strong understanding of credit policy, underwriting models, and portfolio analytics.

- Experience working with partner-led lending or co-lending ecosystems is preferred.

- Proven ability to build and scale risk teams in high-growth environments.
