Responsibilities:


- Advise senior management on risk considerations in strategic decisions, ensuring alignment with the organizations overall risk appetite and limits.

- Identify and resolve significant risk issues proactively, and develop and implement sustainable, effective risk mitigation processes.

- Lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of credit, market, operational, compliance, and regulatory risks.

- Implement proactive risk mitigation strategies and oversee regular stress testing and scenario analysis.

- Oversee Risk Control unit to ensure the framework for Fraud Detection & Prevention is in place.
- Establish and manage departmental policies and procedures to maintain a consistent risk management framework.

- Design comprehensive control testing processes, assess business operations, and evaluate new products and business opportunities from a risk perspective, delivering detailed risk assessments to senior management.

- Monitor and analyze portfolio trends to detect any deterioration in quality, ensuring all exposures are appropriately approved, reported, and reviewed.

- Prepare and present reports for senior management and the Board, including problem loan reports, concentration analyses, and identification of non-accrual and charge-off criteria.

- Interact closely with Executive Management and departmental leaders to support the organizations objectives and ensure an integrated approach to risk.

- Lead staff development by setting clear, measurable goals, providing ongoing feedback, and aligning team growth with organizational goals.


Qualifications:


- MBA Finance/CA. CFA/FRM or both will be added advantages

- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage a team of compliance professionals.

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

- Achievement orientation & drive for results.

- Planning & organizing skills.

- 15+ years of experience of which at least 10 years should be in handling various facets in risk and credit functions of NBFCs/HFCs/Banks
