Position: Chief Platform Architect Digital Construction Management (DCM)

Reporting To: VP Digital Construction Management

Location: India (Madurai / Durgapur / Jaipur) with domestic and international travel as required

Experience Required: 10-15 years overall experience in platform/solution architecture, software systems, or enterprise technology delivery, with leadership exposure; exposure to construction / BIM / AEC workflows is desirable

Educational Background: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technology discipline. A Civil Engineering / Construction Management background is an added advantage but not mandatory. Certifications in cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, PMP, BIM, or digital construction will be an advantage

About Team:

Team- Solutons is a global leader in BIM (Building Information Modeling) and AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) technology services, working with leading EPC, construction, and design firms across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Team advanced BIM, digital construction, and technology-enabled solutions that help clients improve project efficiency, cost control, coordination, and digital transformation across the construction lifecycle.

Role Overview

The Chief Platform Architect Digital Construction Management (DCM) will lead the technology vision and solution architecture for Teams Digital Construction Management platform. This is a technology and platform leadership role, suited to a strong platform/solution architect with deep experience across software systems, cloud infrastructure, data and application design who can shape scalable products and now wants to apply that expertise to the construction and built-environment domain.

The incumbent will own the platforms architecture and engineering direction, translating construction management workflows planning, execution monitoring, site reporting, quality, safety, progress tracking, and project controls into robust, automated, AI-enabled digital systems. Direct construction/BIM expertise is desirable rather than mandatory; the role works closely with in-house domain experts to ground the platform in real construction needs while bringing best-in-class engineering and architecture discipline. The role will help build scalable DCM solutions for owners, contractors, and EPC stakeholders across the construction lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Strategy & Architecture Roadmap:

- Define the technology vision, architecture, and roadmap for Team's Construction Management platform, covering planning, execution monitoring, site reporting, quality, safety, progress tracking, and project controls.

- Establish the platforms reference architecture, technology stack, and scalability, security, and integration standards.

- Identify manual, fragmented, and high-risk construction management workflows that can be digitized, automated, or enhanced through well-architected software, AI, and analytics.

- Develop platform use cases for field-to-office visibility, schedule adherence, productivity tracking, issue management, site documentation, and decision dashboards.

- Align platform capabilities with the market needs of contractors, owners, EPC firms, consultants, and infrastructure developers.

2. Solution Architecture & Technology Leadership:

- Define end-to-end solution architecture spanning front-end, back-end, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and application design.

- Guide engineering teams on system design, data modeling, integration patterns, performance, security, and DevOps best practices without coding being a day-to-day requirement of the role.

- Make build-vs-buy, platform, and vendor technology decisions, and own the technical standards that ensure a scalable, maintainable, enterprise-grade product.

- Ensure interoperability and clean data flow across BIM models, schedules, field data, ERP/project-control systems, and construction management platforms.

3. AI, Automation & Analytics for DCM:

- Lead the development of AI and automation use cases for progress monitoring, risk alerts, schedule variance detection, quality observations, safety compliance, and reporting automation.

- Work with engineering and data teams to integrate data from BIM models, schedules, field reports, images, IoT/sensor inputs, ERP/project control systems, and construction management platforms.

- Define the data and analytics architecture that turns construction data into predictive, decision-grade insight.

4. Construction & BIM Domain Alignment:

- Partner with in-house construction and BIM domain experts to translate real site workflows site execution, sequencing, planning, coordination, procurement interfaces, quality control, safety, and contractor management into platform capabilities.

- Ensure platform solutions remain grounded in genuine construction-site pain points, data-capture needs, and adoption realities.

- Help define standard operating processes for digital site management, progress validation, RFI/submittal tracking, issue closure, and project reporting.

5. Client Solutioning & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Support strategic discussions with clients to understand construction management challenges and design digital transformation solutions.

- Partner with sales, delivery, BIM, technology, and client success teams to position Teams DCM platform offering.

6. Team Leadership, Governance & Adoption:

- Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team of architects, software/data engineers, solution consultants, product owners, and automation champions focused on DCM.

- Provide technical direction and guidance to engineering teams and define the solution architecture they build against.

- Define governance for implementation, user adoption, data quality, reporting accuracy, security, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

Preferred Candidate Profile: Strong background in platform architecture, software systems, cloud infrastructure, databases, front-end/back-end technologies, and application design. Exposure to construction, BIM, project management, or AEC industry workflows is desirable. Coding expertise is not mandatory, but the candidate must be able to guide technical teams and define solution architecture.

- Experience: 10-15 Years overall in platform/solution architecture, software systems, or enterprise technology delivery, with leadership responsibility in recent roles.

- Core Strength: Proven expertise across platform architecture, cloud infrastructure, databases, front-end/back-end technologies, and application/system design.

- Domain Exposure (Desirable): Familiarity with construction, BIM/digital twin tools, project management, project controls, or AEC industry workflows desirable, not mandatory.

- Technical Leadership: Able to guide and direct technical teams and define solution architecture; hands-on coding is not a mandatory requirement.

- Digital Mindset: Demonstrated interest or experience in AI, automation, analytics, and modern data platforms.

- Leadership: Ability to lead senior stakeholders, engineering and project teams, and client-facing solution discussions.

- Business Orientation: Strong ability to convert business and construction pain points into platform capabilities, measurable ROI, and scalable digital offerings.

- Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred / Added Advantage:

- Experience architecting SaaS or enterprise platforms on cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with modern data, API, and microservices patterns.

- Exposure to construction/AEC tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Power BI, ERP/project control systems, or field reporting platforms.

- Exposure to BIM-based construction coordination, 4D/5D workflows, digital twins, computer vision for progress monitoring, or AI-enabled project controls.

- Experience delivering digital tools on live construction projects or driving technology adoption among delivery or site teams.

- Prior experience with large contractors, EPC companies, owners, infrastructure projects, or global construction technology/service firms will be preferred.

Why Join Us?:

- Lead a high-impact digital construction platform role for a global BIM and AEC technology leader.

- Opportunity to architect and transform field construction management using modern software, cloud, AI, automation, and analytics.

- Work with global owners, contractors, EPCs, and internal domain experts on real construction challenges.

- Build scalable solutions that improve site visibility, project predictability, quality, safety, and client outcomes.
