We are seeking a senior leader from the synthetic rubber manufacturing industry to join a large-scale industrial chemicals and polymers business operating a world-class manufacturing facility.
The organization manufactures emulsion styrene-butadiene rubber (E-SBR) used in automotive tires, conveyor belts, hoses, footwear, seals, and engineered rubber products, serving both domestic and international markets. The business operates with strong technology partnerships, export orientation, and high safety and compliance standards.
Role Overview:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for end-to-end operational leadership of the rubber manufacturing business, covering plant operations, supply chain, quality, safety, commercial coordination, and customer delivery.
This is a strategic and execution-focused role, requiring deep understanding of rubber/polymer manufacturing processes and the ability to scale operations while maintaining efficiency, quality, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead overall plant operations including production, maintenance, utilities, quality, EHS, and logistics
- Drive operational excellence across rubber manufacturing processes and capacity utilization
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Oversee supply chain and inventory management, ensuring timely raw material sourcing and dispatch
- Partner with commercial teams on customer engagement, demand planning, and order fulfillment
- Monitor and improve cost structures, KPIs, yields, and operational margins
- Support expansion initiatives, new product grades, and process optimization
- Build and lead high-performing cross-functional leadership teams
Candidate Profile:
- 15+ years of experience in rubber / polymer / synthetic rubber manufacturing
- Proven leadership in large manufacturing plants with complex operations
- Strong exposure to production, quality systems, safety, and supply chain management
- Ability to work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Experience in export-oriented or technology-driven manufacturing setups preferred
Ideal Background:
- Engineering or Chemical background
- Prior roles as Plant Head, Operations Head, or Business Unit Leader in the rubber or polymer industry
- Experience working with international partners or joint ventures is highly desirable
