Chief Operating Officer - Steel Business

A fast-growing steel & mining group (TMT, billets, wire rods) is looking for an experienced COO to lead multi-plant operations, output stability, and cost optimization across Central India steel facilities. The role demands deep operational expertise in large-scale steel manufacturing and the ability to drive volume, productivity and EBITDA improvements.

Role Location: Central India

Experience: 15-20+ years in steel operations | 10+ yrs leadership

What you'll Lead:

- Full steel operations (melting, rolling, billets, TMT, wire rods)

- Mine-to-mill logistics, supply chain, dealer delivery excellence

- 98%+ uptime, production stability & rolling mill efficiency

- Cost optimization, yield improvement, OPEX/EBITDA enhancement

- P&L responsibility ~- 2500+ Cr scale; workforce 2000+

- Strategic expansion readiness, plant debottlenecking & quality systems

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Hands-on leadership in steel plants, rolling mills, melt shops

- Strong exposure to production planning, cost control & yield

- Experience in union workforce management & multi-site operations

- Deep knowledge of BIS standards, safety compliance & dispatch logistics

- Background in JSW/SAIL/Jindal/Vedanta-like environments preferred
