1. Position Overview:
The Digital COO will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, operational excellence, and digital innovation, ensuring company continues to strengthen its market leadership in the online ticketing and event management ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of experience in digital or online ticketing companies such as Platinumlist, Ticketmaster, or BookMyShow, with proven expertise in scaling digital platforms, managing P&L, and executing cross-country expansion strategies.
2. Key Objectives of the Role:
- Drive the operational and strategic leadership of company's digital business.
- Lead the company's business growth, market expansion, and profitability across the GCC and new international markets.
- Oversee technology development, platform innovation, and customer experience enhancement.
- Strengthen Qtickets' position as a leading entertainment and ticketing platform through data-driven, customer-centric strategies.
3. Major Responsibilities:
A. Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
- Define and execute digital growth strategy, focusing on market expansion and revenue diversification.
- Lead the company's expansion into new GCC and international markets, forming partnerships with event organizers, venues, and promoters.
- Identify and develop new B2B and B2C digital revenue streams, including events, cinemas, sports, and live entertainment.
- Collaborate with the CEO and Board on long-term vision, digital transformation goals, and global positioning.
B. Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals.
- Lead all operational divisions including sales, customer service, marketing, technology, and finance.
- Ensure seamless coordination between tech, product, and business functions to deliver superior user experience and service reliability.
- Optimize internal processes to support scalable operations across multiple countries.
C. Technology & Product Oversight:
- Work closely with the technology team to ensure continuous platform enhancement, innovation, and security.
- Evaluate emerging digital trends, AI tools, and automation to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Implement digital solutions that improve data analytics, consumer engagement, and business performance.
- Ensure the platform remains agile, responsive, and aligned with user needs and global standards.
D. Financial Leadership & P&L Responsibility:
- Own and manage the full P&L for Qtickets' digital operations.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial KPIs to ensure sustained profitability.
- Implement performance dashboards and analytics to drive financial discipline and operational transparency.
- Identify cost-optimization opportunities without compromising customer experience or innovation.
E. Partnerships & Market Development:
- Establish strategic alliances with event organizers, entertainment companies, and venue partners across the GCC.
- Negotiate key commercial agreements to expand Qtickets' portfolio and brand reach.
- Strengthen relationships with government, media, and industry stakeholders to enhance Qtickets' ecosystem presence.
F. Leadership & People Development:
- Lead, mentor, and empower cross-functional teams in Qatar and other GCC regions.
- Build a performance-driven, innovative, and collaborative culture across business and tech teams.
- Attract and retain top talent to sustain the company's digital and operational excellence.
4. Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Technology, or related discipline (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 15- 20 years of professional experience with at least 8-10 years in senior leadership roles in digital ticketing, online entertainment platforms, or e-commerce companies.
Professional Background:
- Proven experience with leading online ticketing platforms such as Platinumlist, Ticketmaster, BookMyShow, or similar GCC-based digital businesses.
- Strong expertise in managing multi-market operations and driving international expansion.
- Deep understanding of digital platforms, technology systems, and customer lifecycle management.
- Experience in overseeing large-scale events, live entertainment ticketing, or cinema distribution is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strategic thinker with a strong digital business acumen.
- Deep understanding of online consumer behavior, data analytics, and digital marketing.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional management skills.
- Hands-on experience managing technology-led businesses and integrating digital systems with operations.

5. Preferred Criteria:
- Candidates with GCC experience and established industry networks are highly preferred.
- Proven record of launching or scaling digital platforms in Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Oman.
- Bilingual proficiency (English & Arabic) preferred but not mandatory.
- Locally available candidates in Qatar will be given priority consideration.
