COO - Chief Operating Officer

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced COO from the Oil & Gas industry to lead overall business operations, drive strategic growth, own P&L performance, improve profitability, and ensure efficient execution across projects and functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic & Business Growth:

- Define and execute long-term business strategies and growth plans.

- Drive profitability, market expansion and business growth.

- Identify new markets, customers and business opportunities.

- Lead strategic bidding and strengthen project acquisition.

- Monitor industry trends, competition and market opportunities.

2. P&L & Financial Management:

- Own and drive overall P&L performance and profitability.

- Monitor financial performance, cash flow and resource utilisation.

- Assess project feasibility, margins and commercial viability.

- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and operational efficiency.

3. Operations & Project Management:

- Oversee project execution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

- Establish and monitor SOPs across Engineering, Procurement, Projects, HR and SCM.

- Ensure effective utilisation of resources and operational excellence.

- Drive process improvement and technology adoption.

4. Leadership & People Management:

- Lead and mentor the senior management and functional teams.

- Build a high-performing leadership team.

- Drive organisational development, employee engagement and retention.

5. Risk, Quality & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, industry standards and company policies.

- Oversee EHS risk management and mitigation.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.

- Identify operational and business risks and implement corrective actions.

Key Requirements:

- 25+ years of overall experience, with strong Oil & Gas industry exposure.

- Engineering degree with Management specialisation preferred.

- Proven experience in P&L management and business operations.

- Strong exposure to Oil & Gas EPC/project execution.

- Experience in strategic bidding, project acquisition and client engagement.

- Strong leadership across Engineering, Procurement, Projects, HR and SCM.

- Excellent commercial, strategic and decision-making capabilities.

- Strong stakeholder and people-management skills.
