Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will act as the principal execution leader, responsible for translating strategy into results through disciplined operations, strong financial governance, and scalable delivery.
A critical component of this role is direct ownership of the PMO (Program Management Office). The COO will lead and mature the PMO as a business-critical function-driving delivery predictability, financial accountability, and cross-functional alignment across all programs.
What You'll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
Executive Leadership & Governance:
- Report directly to the CEO and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.
- Own the operating cadence of the company, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
- Act as the CEO's execution partner, ensuring strategic priorities are converted into measurable outcomes. Business & Financial Leadership (P&L Ownership)
- Own and drive company-wide P&L, including revenue forecasting, margin management, operating costs, and profitability.
- Lead billing, invoicing, revenue assurance, and margin leakage prevention across all engagements.
- Partner with Finance on budgets, forecasts, cash flow planning, and financial controls.
- Present data-backed operational and financial insights to the CEO and leadership team.
PMO Leadership & Delivery Excellence:
- Own and lead the PMO function, setting standards for program governance, execution discipline, and delivery predictability.
- Ensure all programs are tracked through structured PMO frameworks covering scope, timelines, cost, risk, and dependencies.
- Establish clear accountability for milestones, client sign-offs, and delivery commitments.
- Use PMO data to proactively identify risks, delays, cost overruns, and margin erosion.
Strategy Execution & Decision Support:
- Translate the CEO's vision into operational plans, KPIs, and execution roadmaps.
- Support CEO-led decisions on investments, pricing, market expansion, and scaling initiatives using data-driven analysis.
- Build operating models that align growth ambition with delivery and resource capacity.
Resource Management & Workforce Economics:
- Own enterprise-wide resource planning, utilization management, and capacity forecasting.
- Drive improvements in billable utilization, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with HR and Delivery on headcount planning, role mix optimization, and workforce cost control.
Operational Excellence & Systems:
- Design and institutionalize SOPs, operating playbooks, and internal governance frameworks.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and predictability.
- Oversee adoption of PMO tools, dashboards, and automation for real-time operational visibility.
Cross-Functional & Client Leadership:
- Ensure strong alignment across Delivery, Finance, HR, Sales, and Technology functions.
- Act as an escalation point for key clients, supporting delivery governance and commercial discussions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and execution excellence across teams.
What You'll Bring:
- 12+ years of leadership experience in Operations, PMO, Business Operations, or Consulting, with direct P&L ownership.
- Proven experience building, leading, and scaling PMO functions in technology or consulting environments.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, margin analysis, and cost optimization.
- Deep expertise in program governance, delivery management, and resource planning.
- Experience partnering directly with CEOs / Founders / Boards.
- Highly data-driven mindset with strong executive communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
