Chief Operating Officer - Global Operations - Financial Services Platform

About the role:

A leading global financial services platform is seeking a senior operations leader to drive enterprise-wide effectiveness across a large and complex operating environment. The role will own operational governance, business performance, workforce strategy, risk and controls, transformation and automation. The individual will partner with senior business and functional leaders to improve operating effectiveness, resilience and scalability. The role also oversees selected enterprise support functions and will operate at a senior leadership level.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive enterprise-wide operational excellence, governance, performance management and continuous improvement across the capability centre.

- Lead workforce strategy, capacity planning, capability development, automation and adoption of emerging technologies.

- Strengthen enterprise risk, controls and operational resilience, with a focus on reducing non-financial risk and improving control effectiveness.

- Build performance insights and executive reporting that translate business data into actionable decisions and measurable outcomes.

- Shape vendor and third-party strategy, including the right balance between internal capabilities and external partners.

- Partner with senior stakeholders across business and functional teams to align priorities, transformation initiatives and operating outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 15-25 years of experience with significant leadership responsibility across large, complex operations.

- Proven track record as a Chief Operating Officer or senior enterprise operations leader.

- Strong experience across enterprise operations, governance, performance management and organisational effectiveness.

- Exposure to risk management, controls, operational resilience and large-scale transformation.

- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple business and functional teams.

- Strong commercial orientation with experience in workforce strategy, vendor management, automation and capability building.

- Bengaluru-based or willing to work onsite.
