This pivotal role ensures operational excellence, drives efficiency, manages large-scale projects, and guarantees the timely, safe, and profitable completion of contracts, particularly those involving EHV Substations and Power Transmission Lines for government utilities and private clients.
Job Responsibilities
A. Project & Operational Management (Core EPC Focus)
- Execution Oversight: Directly manage and provide leadership to all Project Managers and site execution teams, ensuring projects (transmission lines, EHV substations, cable laying) are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Develop, implement, and monitor robust operational policies, procedures, and performance metrics (KPIs) to drive efficiency and reduce operational costs across all project sites.
- Sourcing & Logistics: Oversee the end-to-end supply chain, including strategic sourcing, procurement, and logistics for critical materials (e.g., transformers, cables, structural steel).
- Contract Management: Manage vendor relationships and negotiation strategies to secure favorable terms, quality, and delivery timelines for all subcontractors and suppliers.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with the CFO and CMD to manage operational budgets, forecast project costs, and ensure project profitability and cash flow are maintained.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and proactively mitigate operational and execution risks associated with large-scale EPC projects, especially in regulatory or challenging environments.
- Strategic Growth: Assist the CMD in planning operational capacity for future business growth, tender preparation, and expansion into new services or geographies.
- Liaisoning: Oversee and strengthen relationships with key government authorities, regulatory bodies, and utilities (such as GETCO, Torrent Power, Adani Transmission, etc.) crucial for project approvals and execution.
- Technical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of EHV/HV Transmission Systems (up to 400KV), Substation construction, and Industrial EPC project delivery models.
- Statutory Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements specific to the Indian power infrastructure sector.
