Chief Operating Officer (COO)
- We are looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our organization's ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company's second-in-command and be responsible for the profitability and efficiency of business.
- The COO role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Managing Director of the company. You'll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics, we'd like to meet you.
- The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
COO in Distillery and Bottling:
1. Industry Experience:
- Distillery and Bottling Background: Significant experience in the alcoholic beverage industry, particularly in distillery operations and bottling processes.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to the production and bottling of alcoholic beverages.
2. Operations Management:
- Supply Chain Expertise: Proven track record in managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including raw material sourcing, production planning, and distribution.
- Quality Control: Strong emphasis on maintaining high-quality standards in both distillery and bottling processes.
3. Strategic Leadership:
- Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with business goals, considering market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Innovation: A forward-thinking approach to introducing innovations in production processes, packaging, and product development.
4. Financial Acumen:
- Cost Management: Experience in optimizing costs and improving operational efficiency without compromising product quality.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Proficiency in financial management, including budget preparation, forecasting, and financial analysis.
5. Team Leadership:
- Team Building: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a production environment.
- Collaboration: Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and regulatory affairs.
6. Regulatory Compliance:
- Compliance Management: Ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations related to the production and distribution of alcoholic beverages.
- Risk Management: Skill in identifying and mitigating operational risks, ensuring a compliant and secure operational environment.
7. Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility:
- Environmental and Social Responsibility: Awareness and commitment to sustainability practices and corporate social responsibility within the alcoholic beverage industry.
8. Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
- Stakeholder Relations: Ability to manage relationships with suppliers, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
9. Continuous Improvement:
- Process Optimization: Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives, embracing technological advancements, and implementing best practices in distillery and bottling operations.
Requirements and skills:
- CA / MBA Operations
- Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
- Exp of 18-25 yrs out of which a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role in a distillery or bottling company
- Strong understanding of the distillation and bottling industry and current trends.
- Proven track record of success in managing operations and leading teams
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Experience in supply chain management, production processes, and logistics
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
- Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
- Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Ability to make data-driven decisions
