Description:
A diversified group with captive bauxite mines and downstream ATH/alumina processing facilities is seeking an experienced leader to drive end-to-end alumina operations, yield improvement, cost leadership, and plant reliability.
Location: Central India
Experience: 15-20+ years in Alumina/Bayer operations | Senior GM/COO-level leadership
Key Mandate:
- Improve Bayer yield, refinery throughput & recovery efficiency
- Ensure >97% digester uptime & optimized precipitation control
- Drive cost reduction (caustic/soda/energy), productivity & EBITDA improvement
- Manage red-mud disposal, water efficiency, ZLD & sustainability initiatives
- Strengthen mine reserves, blending strategy & long-term feed security
- Lead 800+ workforce with strong safety, ESG & compliance focus
- Implement digital process control, SCADA dashboards & optimization
Ideal Candidate:
- Alumina/Bayer process expertise - digestion, clarification, precipitation, calcination
- Leadership experience in NALCO/HINDALCO/Vedanta-like environments
- Strong command on P&L, cost/ton control & plant reliability metrics
- Experience in mine linkage, logistics & regulatory navigation
This role is for a leader who can improve yield, reduce cost/MT, enhance operational reliability, and position ATH products competitively for water treatment & fire-retardant markets.
