Chief of Staff
Mumbai | IPO-Bound F&B & Hospitality Group | 8+ Years Experience
About the Role:
Our client is a leading food and hospitality organisation with businesses spanning luxury event catering, restaurants and cloud kitchens, banquets, and integrated F&B services, operating across geographies and combining large-scale culinary operations with premium hospitality experiences. The company is gearing up for an IPO and, as it enters its next phase of growth, is investing in becoming a more digitised, automated, data-driven, and AI-enabled organisation. They are looking for a Chief of Staff to operate as a direct extension of the promoter, driving execution and alignment across the group's businesses and function heads through this critical phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a direct extension of the promoter - translating priorities into structured plans, and driving follow-through across function heads and business units.
- Own the cadence of leadership reviews, investor and board-related preparation, and cross-functional planning through the run-up to and beyond the IPO.
- Drive strategic projects end-to-end, from problem framing to execution, working directly with function heads across HR, technology, operations, and finance.
- Build and track the organisation's key metrics and priorities, flagging risks and bottlenecks to the promoter before they become issues.
- Champion the company's push toward a more digitised, automated, data-driven, and AI-enabled organisation - identifying where technology and process can materially move the business forward.
- Prepare high-quality briefing notes, board materials, and decision documents for the promoter and leadership team.
- Represent the promoter's office in cross-functional forums, ensuring alignment and accountability across a multi-business organisation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 8+ years of experience, with a track record in chief-of-staff, strategy, or high-ownership generalist roles working closely with founders or senior leadership.
- Strong analytical and execution ability - comfortable moving between high-level strategy and detailed, hands-on follow-through.
- Tech and AI savvy, with a genuine interest in using data and automation to improve how the organisation runs.
- Prior exposure to a fast-paced, multi-business, high-growth, or pre-IPO environment preferred; familiarity with F&B, hospitality, or consumer businesses is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity into clear, executive-ready material.
- High degree of discretion, judgment, and credibility to operate effectively with the promoter and function heads across the organisation.
