Chief of Staff Quality Manufacturing
About the Role :
The Chief of Staff Quality Manufacturing will work as the strategic and execution partner to a senior quality leader, driving critical initiatives across quality, manufacturing excellence, process governance, and cross-functional coordination. This role is suited for a high-potential professional from IIT or IIM with 1 to 4 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, operational excellence, or business transformation roles.
Key Purpose : This role will support the Quality Head in translating strategic priorities into execution across plants, functions, and leadership forums. The position requires strong analytical ability, executive presence, structured problem-solving, and the capability to work on high-impact quality and manufacturing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities : - Work closely with the Quality Leader on strategic priorities, special projects, and business-critical initiatives across manufacturing and quality functions.
- Track and analyze key quality and manufacturing KPIs such as rejection rates, customer complaints, COPQ, CAPA closure, audit scores, and process capability trends.
- Prepare leadership dashboards, review packs, meeting notes, action trackers, and decision-support analysis for senior management reviews.
- Coordinate with production, quality assurance, quality control, supply chain, engineering, and plant teams to drive timely execution of priorities.
- Support problem-solving and improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, TPM, 8D, RCA, and CAPA methodologies where applicable.
- Drive follow-up on internal quality reviews, customer audits, regulatory audits, supplier quality actions, and plant governance mechanisms.
- Identify process gaps, execution risks, and improvement opportunities, and convert them into structured action plans with owners and timelines.
- Act as the coordination bridge between the Quality Leader and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, responsiveness, and closure of action items.
- Support preparation of presentations, business notes, policy inputs, and strategic recommendations for the quality function.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews to improve process discipline, product quality, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
Candidate Profile : - B.Tech / B.E. from IIT, or MBA / PGDM from IIM; candidates with engineering plus management exposure will be preferred.
- 1 to 4 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, operations excellence, CEO office, strategy, or founders office roles within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to quality systems, manufacturing processes, plant operations, continuous improvement, or operational excellence projects is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with comfort in handling data, dashboards, presentations, and review mechanisms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and follow-through ability, with confidence to work directly with senior leadership.
- High ownership, maturity, discretion, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills : - Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, TPM, RCA, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, MSA, or similar quality/manufacturing tools.
- Strong command of Excel, PowerPoint, dashboards, and business reporting.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear frameworks, action plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong business acumen with attention to detail and process discipline.

Compensation : The offered salary range of
20 to 24 LPA is aligned with higher-end India-wide Chief of Staff compensation benchmarks, though it sits well above broad Ahmedabad averages, which suggests this role is positioned as a premium early-career leadership-track hire rather than a standard local Chief of Staff role.
